1. (b) 150 crores

The Union Cabinet has given its approval for the establishment of International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA). It includes 96 big cat range countries and other organizations of the world. Its headquarters will be in India. The government has approved assistance of Rs 150 crore for this. It is a common platform for the conservation of the seven big cats like tiger, lion, leopard, snow leopard, cheetah, jaguar and puma.

According to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data of the National Statistical Office (NSO), the Indian economy registered a strong growth of 8.4 percent on an annual basis during the October-December quarter of the current financial year 2023-24 (Q3FY24).

3. (d) Gujarat

The Union Cabinet approved the country’s first semiconductor fab to be built by the Tata Group in collaboration with Powerchip Taiwan. This semiconductor fab will be established in Dholera, Gujarat. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the semiconductor fab will operate with a capacity of 50,000 wafers per month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s first Vedic clock installed in Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), considered the center of time calculation. This Vedic clock has been installed on an 85 feet tower inside Jantar Mantar near Jiwaji Observatory. The foundation stone of this clock was laid on November 6, 2022 by the then Higher Education Minister and current Chief Minister of the state, Mohan Yadav.

World Civil Defense Day is celebrated every year on 1 March all over the world. This day is celebrated with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of civil defense and emergency preparedness at both national and international levels. This day was first officially designated by the United Nations (UN) on 6 December 1990.
