खिलती हुई कलियाँ!

1. फूल और कली में क्या अंतर पाते हैं?

उत्तर:

कली फूल से छोटी होती है। कलियाँ वास्तव में फूल बनने की प्रारंभिक अवस्था होती हैं। यह वह कली है जो फूल में विकसित होती है।

2. क्या तुम बता सकते हो कि एक कली को फूल बनने में कितने दिन लगेंगे? आइए जानने की कोशिश करते हैं।

(ए) एक पौधे पर उगने वाली एक कली चुनें और इसे हर दिन देखें। पौधे का नाम लिखिए।

उत्तर:

एक कली को फूल बनने में लगभग 4 से 5 दिन का समय लगता है। गुलाब का पौधा था।

(बी) जब आपने पहली बार इस कली को देखा था, तो तारीख __________ थी। अब जब कली खिलकर फूल बन गई है, तो तारीख _______ है। कली को फूल बनने में कितने दिन लगे?

उत्तर:

जब आपने पहली बार इस कली को देखा था तो तारीख थी 2 मार्च । अब जब कली खिलकर फूल बन गई है तो तारीख है 7 मार्च । कली को फूल बनने में 5 दिन लगे।

(ग) अपने मित्रों से उन भिन्न-भिन्न फूलों के नाम पूछो जो उन्होंने देखे हैं। उनकी कलियों को फूल बनने में कितना समय लगा?

उत्तर:

एक गुड़हल की कली को लगभग सात दिन लगते हैं और सूरजमुखी की एक कली को लगभग सात से आठ दिन लगते हैं।

(d) यह भी देखें कि उसी फूल को सूखने में कितने दिन लगे।

उत्तर:

गुड़हल को सूखने में लगभग 30 दिन लगते हैं और सूरजमुखी को सूखने में लगभग 30 से 40 दिन लगते हैं।

इतने सारे उपयोग!

फूल भी खाए जाते हैं!

1. हम अपने दैनिक जीवन में फूलों का उपयोग किन विभिन्न तरीकों से करते हैं? क्या आप जानते हैं कि फूल भी खाए जा सकते हैं?

उत्तर:

हम अपने दैनिक जीवन में विभिन्न तरीकों से फूलों का उपयोग इस प्रकार करते हैं:

– सजावट के लिए

– उपहार के रूप में (गुलदस्ता)

 स्वादिष्ट भोजन बनाने के लिए

-भावनाओं को व्यक्त करना

– तनाव और चिंता दूर करने के लिए

– हमें सुंदर दिखने के लिए

हां, मुझे पता है कि फूल भी खाए जा सकते हैं।

2. क्या आपके घर में फूलों को सूखी सब्जी, रसेदार व्यंजन या चटनी के रूप में पकाया जाता है ? जानिए इसके लिए कौन से फूलों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

उत्तर:

हाँ, कुछ पौधों के फूलों को सूखी सब्जी, रसेदार व्यंजन या चटनी के रूप में पकाया जाता है। केले के फूल, सहजा, कचनार आदि का प्रयोग सब्जी और ग्रेवी के रूप में किया जाता है. शेफालिका के फूल चटनी बनाने के काम आते हैं.

दवाओं में फूल!

1. किन्हीं दो फूलों के नाम ढूँढ़ो जिनका उपयोग औषधियाँ बनाने में किया जाता है।

उत्तर:

देवदार और गुलाब का उपयोग औषधि बनाने में किया जाता है।

2. आपके घर में गुलाब जल का उपयोग कैसे किया जाता है? क्या यह दवा, मिठाई, लस्सी या कुछ और के रूप में प्रयोग किया जाता है? पता करो और दूसरों को बताओ।

उत्तर:

गुलाब जल का उपयोग आंखों और त्वचा के लिए औषधि के रूप में किया जाता है और मिठाई और लस्सी में मिला कर भी इसका उपयोग किया जाता है।

फूलों से रंग

1. रंग बनाने में काम आने वाले कुछ और फूलों के नाम ढूँढ़ो और लिखो।

उत्तर:

गुलाब, केसर और गुड़हल कुछ ऐसे फूल हैं जिनका उपयोग रंग और रंग बनाने के लिए किया जाता है।

2. क्या तुम किसी ऐसे रंग के बारे में सोच सकते हो जिसका कोई फूल न हो?

उत्तर:

मुझे लगता है कि ग्रे और सिल्वर रंगों के लिए कोई फूल नहीं हैं।

3. ऐसे फूलों के नाम लिखिए जिनका उपयोग सुगंध बनाने में किया जाता है

Blooming buds!

1. What differences do you find between a flower and a bud?

Answer:

A bud is smaller than a flower. Buds are actually the very early phase of flower formation. It’s the bud that develops into a flower.

2. Can you tell how many days will a bud take to bloom into a flower? Let us try and find out.

(a) Choose a bud that is growing on a plant and look at it every day. Write the name of the plant.

Answer:

It takes about 4 to 5 days for a bud to bloom into a flower. It was a rose plant.

(b) When you first saw this bud, the date was _________. Now when the bud has bloomed into a flower, the date is _______. How many days did the bud take to become a flower?

Answer:

When you first saw this bud, the date was 2nd March. Now when the bud has bloomed into a flower, the date is 7th March. It took 5 days for the bud to become a flower.

(c) Ask your friends the names of the different flowers that they have seen. How much time did it take their buds to become flowers?

Answer:

The bud of a hibiscus takes about seven days and a sunflower’s bud takes about seven to eight days.

(d) Also observe how many days the same flower took to dry.

Answer:

Hibiscus takes about 30 days to become dry and sunflower takes about 30 to 40 days to become dry.

Flowers are even eaten!

1. What are the different ways we use flowers in our daily life? Do you know that flowers can be eaten as well?

The different ways in which we use flowers in our daily life are as follows:

– As gifts (bouquet)

– For making appetizing meals

– To release stress and anxiety

– To make us look beautiful

Yes, flowers of some plants are cooked as dry vegetable, gravy dish or as chutney. Flowers of banana, sahja, kachnar, etc. are used as vegetables and gravy. Flowers of Shefalika are used for making chutney.

Flowers in medicines!

Cedar and rose are used for making medicines.
