Communications, Railways and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav launched government think tank NITI Aayog’s platform ‘NITI For States’, a digital public infrastructure. Along with this, he also inaugurated ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ in NITI Aayog.

Ravichandran Ashwin became the 14th player to play 100 test matches for India. He achieved this feat during the fifth Test against England at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Ashwin, who made his Test debut against West Indies in New Delhi in 2011, has also become the first player from Tamil Nadu to play 100 Test matches. Apart from Ravichandran Ashwin, England’s Jonny Bairstow is also playing his 100th Test match for England.

Indian Navy has established its new base “INS Jatayu” in Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep with an aim to enhance its operational capabilities in the Indian Ocean region. Earlier, the Navy had established INS ‘Dweeprakshak’ at Kavaratti, Lakshadweep. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar inaugurated the second naval base in Lakshadweep.

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog in collaboration with META has launched Frontier Technology Labs (FTL). Its objective is to empower the youth to innovate. So far, AIM has established 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in schools in 722 districts of India.
