The names of 4 astronauts have been announced for India’s ambitious space mission Gaganyaan Mission. This includes Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. The Prime Minister also presented astronaut wings to the astronauts.

New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner has announced his retirement from international cricket. Wagner made his debut in the year 2012. Wagner played 64 test matches in his career and took 260 wickets. He retired as the fifth highest wicket taker of all time for New Zealand in Tests.

The world’s first Vedic clock has been installed in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, which will be unveiled on March 1. This watch will display time as per Indian traditional calendar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate this clock installed on the 85 feet high tower at Jantar Mantar in the city on March 1.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur announced that a regional office of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) will be opened in Chandigarh. He made this announcement on the occasion of the closing ceremony of ‘Chitra Bharati Film Festival’ in Chandigarh. CBFC is a statutory film-certification body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Every year on 27 February, we celebrate World NGO Day to give importance to the important work done by non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Celebrating World NGO Day was first initiated by the Baltic Sea NGO Forum in 2010. In 2014, after receiving widespread support from organizations like the United Nations and the European Union, it started being organized at the global level.
