You are currently viewing A Big Question- Will Humans Extinct?

The Red List, a list of species that are in danger of going extinct, is being updated daily with new species of animals and plants. Extinction is the end of a species, or a group of related plants or animals. Except for cockroaches, but we’re not sure how they did that! All living creatures eventually pass away, much like the dinosaurs and so many other species that came before and after it. This brings up a very intriguing query: Will the human race go extinct? Yes, in a nutshell, people will become extinct. The real questions to be answered are when and how we shall become extinct.

A Big Question- Will Humans Extinct?

What time will it end?

First and foremost, humanity won’t disappear any time soon. It will likely be at least a few hundred million years until the human race is completely extinct. Although estimates range from a few hundred years to another 7 billion years, the overall agreement appears to be that we are still very much alive. These projections could, however, fluctuate due to variables like the speeding up of climate change and the rapid population growth.

Humans, like dinosaurs, are extremely delicate beings. We are big, hot-blooded creatures that rely on our surroundings to survive. We cannot survive for extended periods of time without food, water, or heat, unlike many reptiles and insects. However, humans possess a trait that dinosaurs and the majority of other creatures do not.

Compared to other animals, humans adjust to environmental changes far more quickly. Animals frequently alter their DNA over time in order to adapt to their shifting environments. The manifestation of this may take several generations. We employ intellect to comprehend the changes occurring around us and quickly adjust to them, often in a matter of minutes. We are therefore both robust and adaptable, despite our vulnerability, which is why it may take more than an ice age to exterminate us.

Because there are so many of us, extinction will take a very long time. One of the most dispersed species in the world, humans can be found on every continent and have almost mapped out the entire globe. Even in the event of a catastrophic event, such as a world war or epidemic, which would result in millions of deaths, there would still be enough of us to repopulate the planet.

How will it turn out?

How everything will turn out is now the exciting part. There are several scenarios that could wipe off mankind, and they are all equally likely. According to one theory, it might be an asteroid similar to the one that wiped off the dinosaurs. And although countless asteroids have attacked the Earth over the years, NASA has provided us with a shield against them. War and nuclear annihilation are alternative options, although those depend on a variety of shifting variables.

The most widely accepted idea in the scientific and anthropological communities is that climate change and global warming will be the main causes of human extinction. Deforestation, pollution, and the depletion of natural resources are already having a great deal of negative effects. Millions of people’s lives could be impacted by future conflicts over water, land, and food. This may put us much closer to extinction than we realise.

But there is still hope. Many scientists are working on long-term answers to our challenges today and in the future. While Homo sapiens may disappear, it is also possible that we will change and go to the next stage of human development.
