All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) is an Autonomous Organization under the aegis of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India. Institute imparts postgraduate, doctoral, post-doctoral and Super-Specialty Fellowship Programmes in major streams of Ayurveda. All India Institute of Ayurveda acts as a referral hospital and a “Centre of Excellence” to set highest standards of education, research, patient care and also functions as a model center for international collaboration.

  2. Eligibility Criteria:

    1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.

    2. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.

    3. All applicants are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess essential criteria laid down for various posts to avoid disappointment at later stage.     5. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience.

    6. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and/or experience will be the closing date prescribed for receipt of application.

    7. The candidates servicing in Govt./Autonomous/Statutory Bodies should apply through proper channel and they should submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of interview. In case they do not furnish the same, their candidature will straightaway be rejected.

    8. While forwarding the application the sponsoring authority/employers shall ensure that the particulars of the candidate are verified and that he/she fulfills the eligibility conditions, along with a certificate that the officer is free/clear from vigilance angle and no disciplinary proceeding(s) is/are pending or being contemplated against the applicant.     9. Complete ACR dossier/APARs of last five years of the applicant (for deputation posts) must be submitted with the application, duly attested by the officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.

  3. How to apply:

    1. The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their application only through ONLINE mode. The Online registration of application will be made available on AIIA Recruitment Portal i.e. https://www.aiiarecruitment.org. The link for submission of online applications in respect of aforesaid posts along with other relevant information will be notified on the website.

    2. A one-time registration process is required to be completed before applying for a post on the Recruitment Portal. A valid mobile number and e-mail id are required for the same.

    3. After registration, the profile of the candidate is created by filling up of relevant information and uploading of corresponding documents. Subsequently, candidates can apply against an advertised post by filling up post-specific information. On successful payment of applicable Application Fee, the form will be submitted and a confirmation message will be sent on registered mobile and email.

    4. No documents including online application form is required to be sent physically. However, all the applicants are advised to keep a copy of online application form with them, along with proof of payment (a copy of challan /online payment receipt) for their record.

        2. Who has been relieved from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or

        3. Who has been released from such service as a result of reduction in establishment; or

      2. who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own request, or by way of dismissal, or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency and has been given a gratuity; and includes personnel of the Territorial Army, namely, pension holders for continuous embodied service or broken spells of qualifying service; or

      3. personnel of the Army Postal Service who are part of Regular Army and retired from the Army Postal Service without reversion to their parent service with pension, or are released from the Army Postal service on medical grounds attributable to or aggravated

        by military service or circumstance beyond their control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or

      4. Personnel, who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for more than six months prior to the 14th April, 1988; or

      5. Gallantry award winners of the Armed forces including personnel of Territorial Army; or

      6. Ex-recruits boarded out or relieved on medical ground and granted medical disability pension.

      NOTE-IV: Age concession is not admissible to sons, daughters and dependents of ex-servicemen.

    5. Central Government civilian employees claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate in the prescribed format, is annexed with Notice of this examination (Annexure-II) from their office at the time of Document Verification, in respect of the length of continuous service which should be not less than three years during the period immediately preceding the closing date for receipt of application. They should remain Central Government civilian employees till the time of appointment, in the event of their selection.

  6. Reserved Categories:

    1. Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/EXS must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should also be in possession of the required certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim as stipulated in this Notice. OBC and EWS candidates should ensure that they are in possession of valid OBC/EWS Certificate issued within the due date, issued by the competent authority.

    2. PwBD candidates with disabilities mentioned in Section 34 (1) of Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016, as identified by the Institute suitable for respective post is mentioned against its name. PWBD are eligible to apply under this category provided they have benchmark disability of equal to or more than 40%. Identifications of posts suitable for PWBD as per guidelines of Govt of India.

    3. Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved/or seek age-relaxation must submit requisite certificate from the competent authority, in the prescribed format when such certificates are sought by the Institute. Otherwise, their claim for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ExS status will not be entertained and their candidature/ applications will be considered under General (UR) category.     4. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category viz. SC/ST/OBC/EWS will be considered subject to submission of valid Caste certificate on a prescribed format issued by the competent authority. The vacancies are being advertised in financial year 2023-2024, therefore, NCL-OBC certificate issued during the period from 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024 will be considered valid. Candidates who have NCL-OBC certificate issued before or after this period (i.e. 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024), will not be considered valid for this advertisement. Candidates applying under OBC category must produce the valid caste certificate in the format provided by the DoP&T vide O.M. No. 36036/2/2013-Estt.     5. The vacancies advertised under EWS Category are as per the instructions issued by DoPT, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, Govt. of India, vide OM. No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res), dated 31.01.2019. Application under EWS category will be considered subject to submission of Income and Assets certificate on a prescribed format issued by the competent authority and subject to verification of genuineness of the certificate by the issuing authority. As per DoP&T OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res), dated 31.01.2019, the crucial date for submitting income and asset certificate by the candidate is the closing date for receipt of application for the post, except in cases where date is fixed otherwise. Accordingly, an EWS certificate issued in prescribed format for employment in Central Government on the basis on income of financial year 2022-2023 issued from 01.04.2023 but not later than 31.03.2024 valid for the year 2023-2024 will be considered valid.

  7. Mode of Selection:

    1. The scheme of examination and Syllabus for recruitment to the various non-faculty posts as mentioned in the advertisement will be notified on the website of AIIA. For this purpose, candidates may also take reference from the previous notifications for recruitment available on AIIA website under Vacancies.

    2. SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies in the post as per their position in the overall Merit List or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous to them. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SCs, STs, OBCs, EWS and PwBD candidates who are lower in merit than the last general candidate on merit list of unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment by relaxed standard.

    3. A person with benchmark disability who qualifies the recruitment examination under General standards can be appointed against a reserved vacancy provided the post is identified suitable for person with disability of relevant category.

    4. An Ex-Serviceman or a person with benchmark disability category candidates who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances in written examination, extended zone of consideration, etc. is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against general vacancies subject to fitness of such candidate for selection. Such candidates may also be recommended at the relaxed standards to the extent the number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of merit. In so far as cases of Ex-Serviceman are concerned, deduction from the age of Ex- Serviceman is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption cannot be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age.

    5. Success in the examination confers no right of appointment unless Government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects of appointment to the service/post.

    6. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of the examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. if, on verification, at any time before or after the written examination, it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be liable to be cancelled.

    7. Mobile phone, accessories and other electronic gadgets are banned within the premises of the examination centers. Possession of such equipment whether in use or in switch off mode, during the examination will be considered as use of unfair means. Candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. They will be liable for further action including initiation of criminal proceedings and debarment from AIIA examination, as may be decided by AIIA.

    8. Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing Identity Proof in original such as Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card to the examination center, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear for the examination.

  8. Document Verification:

  9. Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct:

    1. Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information while filling in the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or the attested certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document.       10. Taking away the Answer Sheet with him/her from the examination hall, or passing it on to unauthorized persons during the conduct of the examination.

      11. Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by AIIA for the conduct of examination.

      12. Being ineligible for the examination by not fulfilling the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notice.

      13. Candidature can also be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment for any other ground which AIIA considers to be sufficient cause for cancellation of candidature.

  10. Other Conditions:

    1. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

    2. If required, Computer Based Online exam/ Offline exam will be held at New Delhi. However, AIIA reserves the right to hold examination at any other places also.

About All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) आल इंडिया इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ आयुर्वेदा 

The proposal of establishing All India Institute of Ayurveda in Delhi has many driving factors behind it. Emerging global demand towards Ayurveda has given a lot of thrust to have a centre of excellence of Ayurveda that cater not only to R&D and standardization needs of Ayurveda products but also sub-serve the purpose of imparting tertiary health care and interdisciplinary training & research in different disciplines of Ayurveda.

No Central Government Institution in the national capital city and elsewhere in the country provides state-of-the art Ayurvedic treatment facilities where visiting diplomats, delegates and other interested foreign visitors along with common public could be taken to provide them a glimpse or first-hand experience of classical Ayurveda therapies, education and scientific research. AIIA would fill this gap and will be instrumental in attracting foreign patients for Ayurvedic treatment of such chronic health problems, which do not find solutions in other medical systems. The Institute is expected to help boosting medical tourism in India and showcasing strengths of Ayurveda.
