Educational Qualifications for Candidates Applying for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025

(a) Science Subjects – Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification

Candidates applying under the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 for Science Subjects category must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent with Science –
    • Mathematics, Physics, and English are mandatory subjects.
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in recognized Education Boards
    • Minimum 50% marks specifically in English

OR

  1. Three-Year Diploma in Engineering 
    • Discipline: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, Information Technology.
    • Obtained from Central, State, or UT recognized Polytechnic institute – Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification.
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the Diploma –
    • Minimum 50% marks in English in the Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English isn’t a subject in the Diploma)

OR

  1. Two-Year Vocational Course – Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification:
    • Must include non-vocational subjects like Physics and Mathematics
    • From Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the Vocational Course
    • Minimum 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English isn’t a subject in Vocational Course)

(b) Other than Science Subjects

Candidates applying under the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification for Other than Science Subjects category need to fulfill one of the following criteria:

  1. Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent in Any Stream 
    • From Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT – Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification.
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks
    • Minimum 50% marks in English

OR

  1. Two-Year Vocational Course 
    • From Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the Vocational Course
    • Minimum 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English isn’t a subject in Vocational Course) –

Additional Notes for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification:

  • Candidates eligible under Science Subjects for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification are also eligible under Other than Science Subjects and can choose to appear in both categories simultaneously during online registration.
  • Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT at the time of Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification registrations will be considered.
  • Exact aggregate percentage before the decimal as stated in the marks sheet or calculated per the concerned Education Board/Polytechnic Institute rules will be taken into account for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification (e.g., 49.99% will be considered as 49%). No rounding off to higher percentages.

Mandatory Medical Standards for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification

(a) Height Requirement

  • Male Candidates: Minimum height of 152.5 cms.
  • Female Candidates: Minimum height of 152 cms. Exceptions:
    • Candidates from North East/hilly regions of Uttarakhand: Minimum height of 147 cms.
    • Lakshadweep candidates: Minimum height of 150 cms.
  • Note: Candidates availing height relaxation need to submit domicile certificates endorsing their status during Phase-II testing as per Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification

(b) Weight

  • Proportionate to height and age.

(c) Chest Measurement

  • Male Candidates: Minimum chest circumference of 77 cms and 5 cms chest expansion.
  • Female Candidates: Well-developed chest with a minimum 5 cms expansion.

(d) Hearing

  • Normal hearing ability, able to hear forced whisper from 6 meters by each ear separately.

(e) Dental Standards

  • Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

(f) Visual Standards

  • Visual Acuity: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
  • Refractive Error: Hypermetropia: +2.0D, Myopia: 1D, including ± 0.50 D Astigmatism.
  • Colour Vision: CP-II
  • Note: Candidates using corrective glasses should bring prescriptions and spectacles for the medical examination as per Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification.

(g) Corneal Surgery

  • PRK/LASIK surgeries are not acceptable.

(h) General Health

  • Candidates should be of normal anatomy, free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability, communicable disease, infection, or skin ailments. They should be physically and mentally fit for global deployment in diverse climates and terrains.

(j) Gynaecological Examination (For female candidates)

  • Includes examination of external genitalia, hernia orifices, perineum, stress urinary incontinence, or genital prolapse as given in as per Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 Notification.

(k) Gender Examination (For female candidates)

  • Candidates exhibiting predominant characteristics of the opposite gender will be deemed unfit.

(l) Pregnancy Test (For female candidates)

  • Pregnant candidates will be disqualified.

(m) Additional Information

Other Essential Points

  • NDPS Consumption: Consumption of banned drugs under the NDPS Act 1985 is grounds for rejection.
  • Body Tattoo: Permanent tattoos are not allowed, except for specific locations and traditional tribal tattoos.
  • Hair and Beard Exception: Sikh candidates adhering to religious beliefs prohibiting hair cutting or shaving are permitted to retain hair and/or beard as per specified regulations.

How to Apply

Candidates need to complete their application through the following steps:

  1. Online Application: Visit https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in for the online application process.
  2. During Online Registration, Upload the Following Documents:(a) Class 10th/Matriculation Passing Certificate

    (b) Intermediate/10+2 or Equivalent Mark Sheet

    (c) Higher Education Qualification/Additional Skill Certificates (if any)

    OR

    • Final Year Mark Sheet of 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma (if applying based on a Govt. recognized polytechnic in a prescribed stream)
    • Intermediate/Matriculation Mark Sheet (if English is not part of the Diploma Course)

    OR

    • 2 Yrs Vocational Course Mark Sheets of non-vocational course with English, Physics, and Mathematics as subjects.

    (d) Recent Passport-sized Color Photograph (10 KB to 50 KB) – Front portrait without face mask and headgear (except for Sikhs). The candidate should hold a black slate in front of their chest, displaying their name and date of the photograph taken in white chalk in capital letters. Any significant appearance changes like growing a beard after the photo may lead to candidature cancellation.

    (e) Candidate’s Left Hand Thumb Impression Image (10 KB to 50 KB)

    (f) Candidate’s Signature Image (10 KB to 50 KB)

    (g) Candidate’s Parent’s (Father/Mother)/Guardian’s Signature Image (if the candidate is below 18 years during application)
