Anant Bagrodia is a 16-year-old hardworking student at Vasant Valley School in New Delhi who is passionate about data science and machine learning. He believes that technology may be a potent tool for resolving our society’s urgent problems. He had no idea, though, that his abilities and compassion would take him on a wonderful journey that would provide poor school children chances and hope.

Inequity’s Dark Cloud

The virus spread around the world like a hurricane, leaving countless children stranded in its wake. Many young people attending public schools discovered that they lacked the resources to obtain online education. Surprisingly, just 8.1 percent of students in public schools took online courses, resulting in a serious educational gap that only grew over time. These kids had a difficult time catching up when in-person learning resumed and required extra help to close the knowledge gap.

Eye Opener

A ray of hope may be seen in Anant’s mother’s deeds amid all of this chaos. She generously gave of her time, spending hours instructing disadvantaged students in MCD schools. She was drawn to Prince, an innocent boy with a pure heart who yearned for direction and support. Throughout the pandemic, Anant was the young Prince’s tutor and saw the harsh reality firsthand. Even the most fundamental English and maths ideas were difficult for Prince. Anant was made aware of the thousands of kids struggling with the same issues whose parents couldn’t pay for their education because of financial constraints.

An App For Change

Anant realised there were countless kids like Prince who required urgent care after seeing his development. The issue was that their parents were unable to pay for their education. Anant was compelled by this insight to assist these impoverished children and contribute back to society. Because of my affluent upbringing, I became aware that many youngsters do not have the same opportunities as me. I believed it was my responsibility to support these disadvantaged kids and give back to the community. As a result, I made the decision to build a platform that would connect eager volunteers and students in need of assistance.

Anant created the “Volunteer for MCD Schools” smartphone app as a way to make a difference. The app links students who wish to volunteer with organisations that need their help. The procedure was streamlined, which made it simpler for volunteers to participate. The app fills the gap between students looking for volunteer activities and those who need academic support but can’t get it. You can get it through the Google Play Store. Over 120 student volunteers were soon attracted once the app received favourable reviews. Anant and MCD collaborated to allow students to volunteer.

A Ray Of Light

“I received encouraging comments from student volunteers as well as from schools quite quickly. I keep going to different schools on a regular basis to let people know about my app and to motivate the students there to volunteer,” he continues.

“This programme has been an enriching experience for me,” said one student volunteer. I look forward to teaching chess at the MCD schools since it has become a highlight of my week. It has been incredibly enjoyable and personally rewarding to watch the children’s curiosity and growing interest in studying chess.

Apart From Academics, What Else?

Students shared their academic knowledge as well as their skills in dance, sports, music, and other areas through the platform. Anant’s initiative made MCD schools a happy place as volunteers shared their interests with eager kids.

Entry Into Private Schools

Beyond the individual level, he has also requested that the private schools he collaborates with lead group sessions. For these sessions, they send a group of their kids to an MCD school as volunteers. In order to encourage volunteers to continue participating and making a contribution, he is also giving out certificates to volunteers for every five hours of voluntary work.

Tablets Distribution

Anant’s search did not end there, though. In a recent personal fundraising, he gave away 30 tablets to students in three MCD schools, making sure that no child was left out of the digital education experience.

Vietnam Attracted By Anant’s App

A recent contact from Vietnam has brought up an interesting prospect for Anant, which is a happy turn of events. “Recently, a person from Vietnam approached me asking for assistance in creating and growing a comparable platform in their country. I’ll work on that and collaborate with them in the hopes that more and more global poor youngsters would gain from it.

A Compassion-Fueled Future

The journey of Anant Bagrodia is proof of the ability of one person’s compassion and will to effect long-lasting change. He planted the seeds of opportunity and hope through his software, illuminating the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. His experience serves as an uplifting reminder that even the simplest deeds of kindness have the power to change people’s lives and open the door to a more promising and just future for all.
