The semester examinations for the first and third batches of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) students have been rescheduled. This is because the Village Development Officer (VDO) was re-examined. This exam was initially set from June 26 to July 1, 2023, however, it has now been rescheduled for July 3-8, 2023.
The decision to postpone the D.El.Ed. tests, according to Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority Office, were made in response to candidate petitions due to the VDO re-examination. These exams are expected to attract approximately 14.27 million candidates.
The previous test for these positions was cancelled by the state administration on March 25, 2021, due to reports of malpractice. During a combined video conference session, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Praveer Kumar, directed Divisional Commissioners to make the required preparations because of the approaching tests.
A total of 737 examination centres have been established in various districts to ensure a seamless examination process. Similarly to the previous qualifying test, the chief secretary underlined the importance of preserving order and averting unrest as a result of the expected enormous movement of people throughout the regions. The first semester exams will now be held from July 3 to 5, 2023, while the third-semester exams will be held from July 6 to 8, 2023. Candidates should keep an eye on the Examination Regulatory Authority Office for further announcements and instructions on the altered examination schedule.
