A walk-in interview will be conducted to engage one Junior Engineer (Electrical) purely on Short-Term Contract basis at the Institute’s Headquarters, Kolkata on 10th July, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the conference room of the Institute’s Guest House, 205, B.T. Road, Kolkata -700108.
Minimum Qualifications:
Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent and 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks from Government recognized Institute.
Experience:
At least 10 years’ experience in electrical maintenance/installation activities including wiring, cable laying, etc., preparation of plan, estimate and tender document, etc., operations/maintenance of lifts and other electrical equipment and fittings including motors, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc. Candidates having experience in electrical maintenance job in Central Educational/ Research Institutions will be preferred.
Remuneration:
₹ 45,000/- (Rupees Forty-Five Thousand) per month (consolidated).

Tenure of Appointment:
The tenure of appointment would be up to 31st March, 2024.

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is ,inviting applications for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled “Livelihood risk, strategies and resilience of rural communities affected by COVID-19 in Jharkhand” in the Sociological Research Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Giridih, Jharkhand.
| Qualifications | First class or equivalent CGPA in Master’s degree in Sociology/ Anthropology/ other social science subjects from a recognised University or Institute. Candidate with minimum one year of research/ field study experience from a reputed institute or university on livelihood related issues, agrarian studies, or rural development with evidence of publication in the related field will be preferred. Knowledge/ experience in data extraction, data processing and analysis using SPSS/ R/ other related statistical packages for social sciences desired. |
Pay : Consolidated pay of 225000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month.
Tenure of Appointment : The appointment will be till 31 March 2024 from the date of his/her joining the

About Indian Statistical Institute Tezpur (ISI) :-
The Indian Statistical Institute was founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December, 1931. The institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. The North-East centre of the Institute at Tezpur was inaugurated on July 23, 2011 by Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Union Finance Minister and Chairman of the ISI council. This is the fourth centre of ISI, joining the existing centres at Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai.
