During his visit to Sikar on July 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually launch four medical institutions and lay the groundwork for seven more. Sirohi, Chittorgarh, Sriganganagar, and Dholpur medical colleges will be opened; meanwhile, the foundation stones for Jhunjhunu, Baran, Bundi, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, and Jaisalmer medical colleges will be laid on the same day, July 27, according to a senior official in the medical education department.
Inaugural Ceremony to be held on July 27
T Ravikanth, principal secretary for medical education, has given instructions to the staff to expedite the planning for the opening and laying of the foundations for new medical colleges. Four new medical colleges opened their doors for the 2022-2023 academic year in Sriganganagar, Chittorgarh, Sirohi, and Dholpur. These are the same medical colleges that will be launched by the Prime Minister on July 27.
The four medical colleges’ earlier planned Prime Minister-led inauguration has been postponed, according to Dr. Lalit Kumar Raiger, principal and controller of the Government Medical College in Sirohi. The four medical colleges’ inaugural ceremonies had previously been set on October 14, 2022. To make sure that all of the preparations are finished on time, the medical education department officials and management of medical colleges are quite busy. Video conferencing will be used to organise the event as it will be done.
