The Delhi government plans to hold a Rozgar Mela and open 20 more job centres to provide young people with career advising services. Discussions about the design and organisation of the “Rozgar Mela” employment fair were held in a meeting called by Labour and Employment Minister Raaj Kumar Anand. Participants included the vice chancellor of the Labour Department and the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU).
In order to give the youth better career prospects, the Delhi government planned to host a sizable employment fair. Experts will offer career guidance to the youngsters at the Rozgar Mela, assisting them in identifying and investigating career paths that fit with their ability and aptitude.
According to PTI, Delhi is home to three such employment centres. The minister gave the DSEU the go-ahead to submit a request to increase the number of employment centres to 20 at the meeting.
SPECIAL ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO DISABLED PEOPLE
Anand also underlined the significance of giving those with impairments extra care and attention. He gave the officials instructions and asked them to organise a special job fair just for people with disabilities so that they would have equal opportunity for employment and professional progression.
A SMALL SCALE JOB FAIR
In addition, smaller-scale job fairs will be organised by the Delhi government. Anand gave the go-ahead to select an outside group to oversee the employment fair’s efficient organisation.
